Screaming Peter

Ba ba ba bo! Emil here and I am going to be also posting on Toynoize now and I love action figures! For my first post I wanted to post one of the first action figures I ever got.

The year was 1990 and my family and I were on a trip to London, England and I remember crying and whining to both of my parents to get me this Peter Venkman Screaming Heroes figure with Slimer, since as soon as I saw it at Hamley’s toys (wich was a huge toy store in London), it was love at first sight. I liked that this series had the characters scared of the ghosts and you could have them do funny panic moves when you pushed their arms or what not a certain way! This one you had to attach Slimer to Peter’s chest and wind his arms and he spinned his arms around. I guess this figure being from 1986, by 1990 it was already kind of old, but what did I care? I just knew that I liked it.

I like these toys better than the movie! Great colors on this as well, I always liked the art on the packaging too. On the way back from London, I was playing with this on the plane and I dropped Slimer and he rolled fuck knows where under the seats I remember getting up and asking people if they seen him and someone found him for me, thanks guy!

Just like where I got mine, traceandtrev is also in the UK. $46 seems a bit steep but maybe not since someone else is trying to sell the same one for $100+.

Weird thing: seller toykidd has a bunch of the Slimed Heroes line of Real Ghostbusters toys, but he has them labeled as 1984 and the Ecto-1A from 1989. I could have sworn the car came out before they started doing all the wacky variations like Slimed Heroes. And not only that, but I’m pretty sure the line didn’t even start until 1986… I think someone has their dates mixed up.

I mean cmon’, there’s no way they made a Louis Tully figure right out the gate. Just no way.
