Star Wars 2010 Exclusive SDCC Cyborg Darth Maul

I always wondered what happened to Darth Maul after he was chopped in half. I guess he had himself outfitted with some new legs. Just like Lt.Dan. Magic legs, that’s how he did it.Probably some magic balls too. bostonvalue is selling this figure loose. I got to say this figure is pretty stupid. I wouldn’t buy it.

Star Wars LEGO Darth Maul Watch & Mini Figure

On my way to work today, I stopped by the local toy store. I was looking in the window and saw one of these Lego watches. c-csales05 happens to be selling the very same watch I saw. Darth Maul Lego watch, how cool it must be to be a kid. I wish I got one of these watches. The watch is battery operated and has removable links, it is also water proof up to 165 feet. I’ll bet your kid will never be late with one of these watches.

Vintage Star Wars Figures+Weapons Vinyl Case LOT

I remember when Star Wars was re-released in the theater in the mid 90′s with anticipation of the new films to follow. People were selling all their old collections at flea markets and toy conventions becasue Ebay still had not been perfected. snakeriverman is selling a case of figures complete with weapons. I noticed that there is no Luke or Boba which is probably part of the reason why this lot is so cheap. The BIN is a pretty good price for the whole lot, back then you could not buy all these figures for under a 100.00 bucks. To this day I still feel these figures are better than the newer ones that Kenner released.

Darth Maul Coin Operated Bank

I have to admit I jumped on that Star Wars bandwagon when it came around with episode 1. I bought all that crap from Taco Bell and Pizza Hut. I also got some of the first wave of figures. This one item in particular that 516.dawn is selling I bought right away. It is a coin operated bank with voice and battle sounds. Darth moves around when you put in your change. His light saber extends and lights up he also has a battle mode. The bank itself has a motion sensor so it will move around if move your hand in front of it. There are two other banks that attach to this one for a battle scene between Darth Maul, Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon. I think it is one of the better items to pick up.

Darth Vader is METAL!

Here is a sick looks one of a kind “sculpture” of Darth Vader made from what looks like random scraps of metal welded together! Looks pretty badass, but the asking price is just a LITTLE steep…

(click for TONS more images and a video)

From the listing

“Up for sale is a beautiful mini statue of Darth Vader, made out of

recycled metals, bolts and parts.

This work is amazingly detailed and was hand made by a real

professional one of a kind metal artist. This item is a MUST for

collectors and heavy fans of star wars!

Decorating your house with this unique item will draw your friend’s

attention and envy but they won’t be able to get one since I am the

only one selling it on eBay and you will be the only one buying it :-)

The pictures speak for themselves – what you see is what you get!”

POWER OF THE FORCE!

A lot of the stuff I post on here are things that either I had back in the day or still have. Once in awhile its just something I think its kind of cool or something that I have some info about, but this is something that I would really love to have! Its totally out of my price range, but I would LOVE to have this hanging on the wall in my living room!

When the original series of Star Wars Power of the Force action figures came out in 1985 each figure came with a silver coin showing the character on it. Since these figures came out near the end of the first Star Wars merchandising blitz they were kind of rare and it was tough to collect them all.

What this person is selling is a giant frame holding TWO full 62 coin sets so that the front & back of each coin is on display. That makes a total of 124 coins in the frame. To make things even cooler he also says that this framed set is one of only TEN sets that were giving to Kenner executives in 1985. Man this is cool!

The 62 character coins include the more common coins of the figures that were exclusive to the POTF cards….
Yak Face
Anakin Skywalker
Luke Poncho
Han Carbonite
Luke Stormtrooper
EV-9D9
R2 Pop-Up Lightsaber
Imperial Gunner
Amanaman
Barada
Imperial Dignitary
Lando General
A-Wing Pilot
Romba
Warok

Some figures that were originally issued as part of either the Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back or Return of the Jedi lines and were then reissued on POTF cards…
AT-ST Driver
Biker Scout
B-Wing Pilot
Chewbacca
C-3P0
Darth Vader
Emperor
Gamorrean Guard
Han Solo Rebel (Trenchcoat)
Jawas
Luke X-Wing
Luke Jedi
Lumat
Obi-Wan Kenobi
Paploo
Princess Leia Rebel Leader (Poncho)
Teebo
Stormtrooper
Wicket
Yoda

There were also some coins that were only available through mail-away offers from Kenner. These coins fall into 3 tiers as far as their rareness…

Tier 1 (most common mail away coins)
Chief Chirpa
Emperor’s Royal Guard
Luke original
Logray
TIE Fighter Pilot

Tier 2 (semi-rare mail away coins)
AT-AT
Boba Fett
Creatures
Droids
Han Hoth
Imperial Commander
Lando with Cloud City
Luke with Tauntaun
Millennium Falcon
Star Destroyer Commander

Tier 3 (incredibly difficult to find mail away coins)
Bib Fortuna
FX-7
Greedo
Han Original
Hoth Stormtrooper
Luke on Dagobah
Princess Leia, Boushh
Princess Leia Original
Sail Skiff
2-1B
Tusken Raider
Zuckuss

you know what a Dianoga is right?

Its not like I didnt already know I was a geek, but seeing this auction has confirmed it for me because I found myself being very irritated by it. This is a person trying to sell a pretty expensive item that is really just an accesory to a play set and they never actually refer to it by its propper name. I know that its not mentioned in the movie and I’m sure it wasnt mentioned on the original packaging for the toy it came with but why not throw it in there anyway!?

As if being irritated by someones auction isnt geeky enough, I can tell you that this is a Dianoga which was discovered by the Hutts on the planet Vodran. The Dianoga is a master of camoflauge and migrated to other planets by stowing away on garbage ships. They are a scavanging creature and only pose a threat to people if they are threatened or starved.

GEEKS UNITE!

if it aint broke… dont fix it!

I remember when the ‘special edition’ Star Wars trilogy came out in theatres. There was a part of me that was super psyched to see the movies on the big screen (again) and I loved all the hype and excitment, but there was also a part of me that didnt want them messing with MY movies! I love the Cantina scene in the original ‘A New Hope’ and I love Jabbas Palace in ‘Return of the Jedi’… I didnt need additional monsters, dancing, songs and other nonsense! I liked the Max Rebo band the way it was and I as hot as I think Rystal and Greeta are I didnt need more dancing girls or that little jackass Rappertuni screaming in my face. Damn it George… just leave well enough alone!

Ok…. I’m done ranting and now I will admit that I bought into the Star Wars Special Edition hype. The theatre I went to for the opening of Return of the Jedi didnt have any of the Luke Jedi figures to give away and I was devistated! Luckily a friend and I were going to lots of toyshows at that time and we got a deal where we 6 of the figures for $120. I ended up keeping one and we sold the other 5 for over $100 a piece!

I still have mine and I like having it even though its just about worthless, but at least I have the memories and the story about how I got it.

Size Does Matter!

They revealed some cool stuff at the SDCC last week, but this is the best one I’ve seen yet. Gentle Giant is taking the classic 3.25″ 70′s Stars Wars figures and redoing them as 12″ figures! They will still have the same limited articulation and the same simple details, but they will be huge! Each figure is packaged on a giant sized card/bubble and they look amazing!

Unfortunantly they (the first 2 at least) are limited to only 2500 pieces. The Stormtrooper was available for preorder at Comicon and the Boba Fett will be available for preorder at Star Wars Celebration 5 coming up very soon.

Word has it that they are also doing… Darth Vader, Tusken Raider, Jawa, Luke, Han, Leia, Chewbacca, Greedo, Walrusman & Hammerhead, but I seriously doubt they will stop there!

*this picture is not from the auction, but it shows the figures much better!

Super7 Super Shogun Stormtrooper

Super7 dropped this awesome Stormtrooper a few days back. It’s pretty dope. Standing at 24″ tall with a shooting fist. Throw in the wheeled feet, and I’m sold. I’m sure others would have a lot more to say about this piece, but I’ll just say, it’s fucking dope. I am big on Start Wars, always loved the Stormtrooper look. This would look great in my living room next to some 100% Beatles Kubricks. Know what I mean? One thing I don’t get about this auction though. The BIN price is $600. The original price is $299.

AND THE SUPER SHOGUN STORMTROOPER IS STILL AVAILABLE FROM SUPER7.

Yes, still available. Go support the shop and buy direct from them. Great dudes.

Don’t forget, hit up Super7 to buy directly from the source. Do it. Continue reading »
