Marc Ecko, Boba Fett, Limited Editions and Of Course, Boobs

Normally, you wouldn’t catch me posting about Marc Ecko clothing. Mostly because I have no clue what his gear is all about. It doesn’t appeal to me. I’m a nerd: toys, records, tshirts. Not weird hip hop, street wear steez. But something funny happened in my daily ebay lurking. While searching out Star Wars toys, I came across this monstrosity of a hooded sweatshirt. You’ll immediately recognize the bounty hunter gear of Boba Fett. That’s right, that’s a hooded sweatshirt that resembles Boba Fett. You can even zip the hood ALL the way up. Yes, all the way over your face, to the top of the hood. Hopefully that mesh permits some vision. It’s certainly not as cool as one of the full on Boba Fett costumes, but it’ll do in a pinch if you get a last minute invite to an off day Halloween party.

You might be balking at the cost of this hood. I balk too. Apparently, for your collector nerds (don’t worry, I’m pointing a finger at myself too), this was a limited edition Star Wars series printed back in 2007. I guess that is enough to warrant the price? Not for me. And this picture wasn’t enough to get me to stop.

Thank god, fashion-bastion is a marketing genius. He knows what sells. And it worked. It got me to click on his auction. He can thank this picture… You can thank it too if you want.

buttahfingaz is selling a lot of POTF Star Wars figures. These are all from the first run from 1995-2000. I was one the idiots that started buying into this bullshit as well, and now I’m stuck with a few. There seems to be about 80 pieces in this lot so you might be able to buy some and resell others.

freddiofredd is selling more of those Star Wars cup toppers. These ones were available at KFC and Pizza Hut. Let me tell you out of all of these the R2D2 cup is the only one that makes sense. The cup and the topper fit perfect to make R2′S body.

Back in 1999 when Episode One came out there was promotions all over the place for Star Wars. George Lucas is a merchandising genius/whore. Everybody was cashing in on the crazy. Taco bell was one of the biggest sponsors of this madness. I remember trying to collect these cups. I have them some where in the garage. I have to say these are pretty cool, and not bad for $2.99. I think that was the original price. Anyway timstarwarscollector is selling a set of 4 cups for those of you missing these or just were not old enough to remember. Make sure you wash them out before you drink out of them.

Earlier today over on our sister site Absurd Noize, I showed a couple of creatively wacky Star Wars customs from seller jediretrocards. C3PO and R2D2 in Raiders of the Lost Arc toy packaging, to be precise. But his creativity doesn’t stop there. He also has taken a couple of the Star Wars characters that originally only came as play set accessories, and given them their own packaging…

Gotta hand it to him, I’ll be damned if I can tell the difference between his custom backings and the original, albeit resealed ones that he also has up for auction.
