It should be completely obvious to even the most casual of 80s toy owners that M.A.S.K. was basically G.I. Joe mixed with Transformers, only the Transformers don’t really transform- they just sprouted weapons or mini helicopters. I mean, the bad guys were called V.E.N.O.M. It wasn’t exactly subtle. But it made it really cool when the good folks at Hasbro got in on the joke a few years ago and gave M.A.S.K. leader Matt Trakker his own G.I. Joe action figure.
