Kidrobot Custom by Ghostface Killah RARE Munny Dunny

I came across this today while searching for Wu-tang items. I figured I would quote the seller before I say anything.

This 7″ Munny was designed by Ghostface Killah and Shawn Wigs as part of a coloration attempt with Kidrobot . . Me and ghost are trying to shop a deal with Kidrobot to do a series or design some Dunnys . This is hand painted by Shawn Wigs and signed by Ghostface Killah .. This is the only one you will find like this !! Item comes with a 5X7 of Ghost with the Munny and the hello my name is Signed by Ghost”.

This is pretty cool if I say so myself I Love the way the head is air brushed, the stocking and gold chains are a nice touch too. How about the cut out WU logo. wigalicous aka Shawn Wigs I am assuming from the Theodore Unit is the one selling this. So you can pretty much guarantee that it is authentic. I guess you would have to be a real fan to buy this Dunny. So lets see who the real killa bees are. Check VinylNoize,TeeTillDeath,ComicNoize, and SneakerNoize for other Wu-tang related merch.

Kidrobot De La Soul 3 pack

As I mentioned once before on skatenoize De La Soul was celebrating the 20th Anniversary of their debut hit album 3 Feet High and Rising. To commemorate this they released a limited edition skateboard and also this amazing 3 pack figure set designed by Myong Kurily and De La Soul.chicosbailbonds happens to be selling one of these sets which was limited to 1000 pieces from Kidrobot. I cannot stress the importance of listening to De La Soul if you are into Hip-Hop. Hell even if you aren’t into Hip-Hop at least give it a spin if you appreciate good music.

Civ Dunny

Last night, I posted the Rinks Dunny from the Kidrobot Tattoo Series back in ’07.

Today, I’m posting the Civ Dunny from that same series.

If you don’t know (and shame on your if you don’t), Civ was the lead singer of a few excellent bands from the mid 80s to the the mid 90s. Gorilla Biscuits is where he got his big start. But there was Moondog, who do one of my favorite tracks ever: Distance. And of course, the Warped Tour banger, CIV. That’s right, the band was named after the dude.

His mom calls him Anthony Civarelli, but we all know him as Civ.

You can currently find him tattooing at your Flaming Lotus in Sayville NY. You could probably get some work from him, but make sure to book in advance, his schedule fills up pretty quickly and months in advance.

Fun fact about this dunny: the left foot has the word “BELLA” written on it. Bella is Civ’s daughter. Ahhhhhhhhhhh, mushy sounds ….

Matt Rinks Dunny

You may recall Matt Rinks from various tattoo shops around the US. At this point, he has became a NBD in the tattoo and hardcore communities. In fact, he’s probably tattooed someone in a lot of your favorite bands. His designs all have a very similar feel. Whether it’s bones that look like ball beanbags, or green tits, you can spot a Rinks tattoo from at least 4′ away.

Kidrobot hit up the idea to do a Tattoo series back in 2007. They got a lot of the top artists to put in designs for Dunnys. Civ did one, Hannah Aitchison did one, … plenty of respected tattoo heads threw down designs.

But Rinks got to one up them all. His design became the CHASE dunny. I personally find the design a little over the top, but maybe that’s how it got chosen for the chase. Numbers vary on how many are out there, but I can imagine, in the grand scheme of things, there are not that many.

I had one back in 2008. When I sold a full collection of the Tattoo Series, I think I scored $250. We’ll see how close this guy gets to his BIN price.
