You may recall Matt Rinks from various tattoo shops around the US. At this point, he has became a NBD in the tattoo and hardcore communities. In fact, he’s probably tattooed someone in a lot of your favorite bands. His designs all have a very similar feel. Whether it’s bones that look like ball beanbags, or green tits, you can spot a Rinks tattoo from at least 4′ away.

Kidrobot hit up the idea to do a Tattoo series back in 2007. They got a lot of the top artists to put in designs for Dunnys. Civ did one, Hannah Aitchison did one, … plenty of respected tattoo heads threw down designs.

But Rinks got to one up them all. His design became the CHASE dunny. I personally find the design a little over the top, but maybe that’s how it got chosen for the chase. Numbers vary on how many are out there, but I can imagine, in the grand scheme of things, there are not that many.

I had one back in 2008. When I sold a full collection of the Tattoo Series, I think I scored $250. We’ll see how close this guy gets to his BIN price.
