In the summer of 2012, Super7 dropped the (final) Gorilla Biscuits figure. This one was classy. Very classy. Love the Tiffany & Co box and matching sweatshirt. Such a good look. The seller picked his up at a California GB show. I know I grabbed mine through the S7 crew. I don’t think they were ever released on via the internet. Anyone have any idea how many of these are out there? Into it.

Oh man, I totally had one of these TRON light cycles when I was a kid. They really ripped (pun intended). You’d feed the pull wire into the back wheel and then let it rip. Generally at your sleeping brothers head … or at least, that’s what some people did. Manufactured by TOMY Corp and licensed under Walt Disney. So dope. swagmixedwithflavor says it’s from 1981, but I’m not sure if that’s right. It claims it’s for ages 6 and up, and I definitely wasn’t 6 at the time. Plus, the bottom of the box has a copyright date of MCMLXXXII, which works out to be 1982. Off by one year, not too bad. 30 years old. Imagine that.

Think about this. 2005 was nearly 7 years ago. That’s when this black Pushead X KAWS was released. I never picked one up, but I’d be into it. The price over the last few years has ranged from $200-400. This one is in the middle. We’ll see how it goes for ugiza1, and we’ll see how it goes for me.

Remember the Recon/Nort store in NYC? Both (was it just the two?) spots were awesome. The second one was a little bit over the top for my liking. More floorspace than product it seemed, but that didn’t stop two heavy hitters from opening it. Futura and Stash? Hard to top that in NYC, you know? They had connects all over the place. From Nike to Medicom. That’s how this particular Be@rbrick came to be, and you should all be glad that it did. It’s awesome. Glow in the Dark, great pattern, excellent look. I’ve gotta get one of these for my desk. Maybe I’ll pop this one from ugiza1. I miss the old new york. RIP Recon/Nort Store. httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXRkJUEE5rk

When Super7 first dropped these figures, you know they also dropped our jaws. We’re down for some hardcore vinyl (and more than just records). This particular figure from makeachange88 is the “second press” of the figure. The color actually coincides with the second press of the original EP from the Gorilla Biscuits. The EP was released back in 1988, and the second press was done on yellow vinyl. Much like this figure. Unlike this figure, there were 2000 EPs pressed. I’m sure the pressing for this is much, MUCH less. This one ends tomorrow and is still cheap. Retail was around $55 and it’s sitting under that now so snap it up while you can.

Normally, you wouldn’t catch me posting about Marc Ecko clothing. Mostly because I have no clue what his gear is all about. It doesn’t appeal to me. I’m a nerd: toys, records, tshirts. Not weird hip hop, street wear steez. But something funny happened in my daily ebay lurking. While searching out Star Wars toys, I came across this monstrosity of a hooded sweatshirt. You’ll immediately recognize the bounty hunter gear of Boba Fett. That’s right, that’s a hooded sweatshirt that resembles Boba Fett. You can even zip the hood ALL the way up. Yes, all the way over your face, to the top of the hood. Hopefully that mesh permits some vision. It’s certainly not as cool as one of the full on Boba Fett costumes, but it’ll do in a pinch if you get a last minute invite to an off day Halloween party. You might be balking at the cost of this hood. I balk too. Apparently, for your collector nerds (don’t worry, I’m pointing a finger at myself too), this was a limited edition Star Wars series printed back in 2007. I guess that is enough to warrant the price? Not for me. And this picture wasn’t enough to get me to stop. Thank god, fashion-bastion is a marketing genius. He knows what sells. And it worked. It got me to click on his auction. He can thank this picture… You can thank it too if you want.

I just woke from a great Sunday afternoon nap. Seriously, nothing beats a solid Sunday nap. Of course, it would have been better if I had been sleeping on a pillow in this pillowcase. Solid one from dead_reckoning. I never had this set as a kid. We had Smurfs and Pacman, but no Transformer sheets. Might grab this one, collect the whole set and get ready for next Sunday.

Did you think I could post this 12″ talking action figure WITHOUT dropping that line? If you do, you have better self control than Morgado. That’s right. Channeling my inner Morgado. He wouldn’t have missed a beat on that line. This one is produced by Sideshow Toy. They always do a stellar job with their figures. To top it off, it was autographed by Al Pacino “while walking to his car after a meeting with a friend in Century City, Ca on 03-31-10…” That just seems creepy. Either way, evergraphs got the autograph, which can now be yours. Have at it. httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2wD5TaMf2k See more collectibles at sideshowcollectibles.com. Some great figures, for sure.

Japan has been hard hit. Times are tough, and as Americans, we can feel very disconnected. But those with means (and those without) have been coming forward to help with relief effort. The best thing we can do is donate money to the red cross. That’s exactly what mrtsurt is doing. 100% of these sales are going direct to the red cross. And for those curious, mrtsurt is Mark Hoppus of Blink 182. That’s right. He’s selling some super big ticket items to benefit the victims of this natural disaster. We’ll be featuring a few of his items on our blogs today. Make sure to check out vinylnoize.com later today. As far as toys go, he has this EXCELLENT piece by Maxx242 and MDX aka Max Jr. This one stands 36″ tall and was hand painted by the artist. If the art looks familiar, it’s because you’ve seen the artist before. He did the cover of the S/T LP. Pick this one up and donate freely. Go ahead and donate while you are at. All our best to those in Japan now. #PMA

I’ve always been a fan of the Kaws Companion figure. It’s just a strong look for a figure. Then along comes Pushead in 2005 to throw a spin on the Medicom produced figure. These 4 figures are AWESOME. The combo of Kaws and Pushead is killer in my opinion. Definitely two of my favorite artists around. Pushead is the metal king, no doubt. Check the figures from blaringdog, tko_records and snakeyip. Which color is your favorite? Glow in the dark is awesome, no doubt. But honestly, you can’t go wrong with black.
